Herbert “Herb” H. Kniphfer
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, June 15, 2010, Mr. Herbert “Herb” H. Kniphfer, 69, husband of the late Betty Wren Kniphfer.
Mr. Herbert “Herb” H. Kniphfer has resided in the Augusta area for the past seven years and attended Marks Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter. Mr. Kniphfer was a welder by profession, owned and operated Herb’s Welding Service and worked for many years with Garrett’s Paving in Athens, Georgia.
Family members include: daughters Scarlett Teresa Kniphfer Clark (L.C.) of Bartow, GA, Angelia K. Barrow (Hugh) of Augusta, GA; granddaughter Natasha Wrena Mason (Billy) of Dublin, GA; sister Carolyn Griffin of Lyons, GA and mother-in-law Elizabeth C. “Boots” Wren of Swainsboro, GA .
A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 6:30 P.M. at 1720 Forest Creek Court, Augusta, GA 30909 with Pastor Hal Hodgens officiating. Mr. Kniphfer was laid to rest this morning at Gumlog Cemetery in Kite, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to Marks Baptist Church, 1405 Marks Church Road, Augusta, GA 30909 or Stepping Stones to Recovery, 2610 Commons Blvd, Augusta, GA 30909
The family will receive friends following the memorial service at the residence.
