Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Thursday, April 4, 2024, Herbert C. Lorick, III, 84, loving husband of Linda L. Lorick.


Herbert was a native of Augusta, GA. He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County and Georgia Southern College. He retired as President of the Leasing Department at Georgia Railroad Bank. After retirement, Herbert worked part-time at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors where he helped with funerals and visitations. He was a lifetime and devoted member of the Lutheran Church of Resurrection. He was also a member of the Breakfast Optimist Club of Augusta, where he formerly served as President. Herbert loved his family, fishing, golf, and the Georgia Bulldogs.

 

Family members in addition to his wife include his children: Herbert “Cal” Lorick IV (Michelle) and Mary Lorick Wright (Mike); grandchildren: Megan Lorick, Anna Lorick, and Katherine Wright; sisters: Tina Dunn (David) and Linda Lorick. He is predeceased by his parents: Herbert C. Lorick, Jr. and Wilva B. Lorick; and his brother: William Barlass Lorick, Sr.

 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Pastor David Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.  

 

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
