Hildegard Erna Dittrich Durden
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, March 25, 2014, Mrs. Hildegard Erna Dittrich Durden, 93, loving wife of the late Everett R. Durden.
Mrs. Durden was a native of Germany but lived in the Augusta area for most of her life. She was a longtime member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. She was also a member of the German Friendship Club where she developed many close friends and created many treasured memories.
Surviving family members include cousin: Irmgard Wilson of Montgomery, AL; great nephew: Timmy Taylor and his wife Allison of Augusta, GA; great niece: Sabrina White and her husband Randy of Augusta, GA; great-great nephews: Shaun Taylor of Augusta, Ron White of Lincolnton, GA; great-great-great nephew: Braxton Taylor of Augusta, GA; and longtime friend: Liz Thomas of Augusta, GA.
Mrs. Durden is preceded in death by her close friend Milton R. Thorn and by her niece Marion M. Moore who is survived by her husband Ben Moore.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 12:00 P.M. in Westover Memorial Park with Pastor David Hunter officiating. Pallbearers will be Shaun Taylor, Randy White, Ron White, Todd Wood, Philip Wood, and John Morgan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gideon’s International, P.O. Box 14774, Augusta, GA 30919.
