Augusta, GA – Mr. Howard “Pete” Wellington Peterson, 88, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 after a long illness.
Mr. Peterson was born in Breesport, NY. He retired from the US Army after 20 years serving in both WWII and Korea. He also retired with 20 years of service from the US Post Office. Mr. Peterson loved camping and his Rice Crispy Treats.
Family members include his loving wife: Klara Peterson; sisters: Beverly Stevens, Shirley Goodwin, Marlene Charron, all of New York; children: Robert Peterson, Victor Peterson, Maria Moon, Sonya Moon; 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son: Kenny Peterson.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 10, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Philip Kinney and Rev. Thomas Moon officiating.
