Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, March 20, 2014, Mrs. Ilene Norman Price, 59, loving wife to Bobby J. Price.
Mrs. Price retired from SRS. She was a member of Crawford Avenue Baptist Church and of the Augusta Garden Club. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Family members In addition to her husband include daughter: Meridith Prior Metts (Brian); son: Colby Michael Prior (Amanda); stepdaughter: Vanessa Shanahan (John); stepson: Devon Price (Lisa); brothers: Marvin Norman (Iris), Freddie Norman (Dana), Doug Norman (Debbie); sister: Cheryl Hunt (Steve); brother-in-law: Richard Boland; grandchildren: Sierra Metts, Sydney Metts, Natalie Busbee, Mason Prior; step grandchildren: Jarad Shanahan, Jayce Shanahan, Kaela Price, Kyle Price; a number of nieces and nephews; and bestfriend: June Kearns. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grady and Jeanette Norman, and her sister, Glenda Boland.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, March 23, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Brian LaFavor officiating.
The family would like to thank her caretaker Edna Riddick and the staff at Trinity Hospice for their compassionate care. Also a special thanks to all of her wonderful friends and family for all of their love and kind thoughts.
