Augusta, GA – Mrs. Imogene Peterson Radford (Jean), 83, entered into rest Sunday, September 26, 2010 after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s. Mrs. Radford, affectionately known as “Mawee”, lived most of her adulthood in Augusta, GA.

She had a love of flowers and gardening and shared this with everyone. She was active with her local garden club and was a flower show judge. She also loved to square dance and line dance. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Robert H. Radford; son: David A. Radford; seven brothers and one sister. She is survived by daughters: Sandra R. Sammons (Johnnie), Augusta, GA; Marsha J. Radford, Las Vegas, NV; son: Daniel R. Radford, North Augusta, SC; granddaughters: Angie S. Hall (Jerry) Martinez, GA, Jennifer S. Bowling (Donnie) Muscle Shoals, AL; Rebecca M. Radford, Athens, GA; Rachel C. Radford, Appling, GA; grandson Parker D. Radford, Appling,GA; great-grandsons Jordan Rodgers and Sam Rodgers, Martinez, GA; Aiden J. Bowling, Muscle Shoals, AL and one sister Martha Rinker, Houston, TX.

We would like to thank the staff of Kentwood Nursing Home and Augusta Gardens Assisted Living Facility for their loving care.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Westover Memorial Park with Elder Walter Jorgensen officiating.
