Ina Lee Berry
Grovetown, GA – Entered into rest Wednesday, November 7, 2018, Mrs. Ina Lee Berry, 83, loving wife of the late Mr. Ronald “Ron” L. Berry.
Mrs. Berry was a lifelong quilter who gifted her family with treasures while fretting over minor mistakes (or “signatures”, as she called them). She loved traveling with her late husband through Europe, as well as train rides and hot air balloon rides. Mrs. Berry worked for the State of Georgia with the WIC program, traveling throughout the state educating patients on the importance of nutrition. As an avid gardener, she enjoyed the beauty of the flowers and birds in her yard while fussing about the squirrels stealing the bird seed. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always brought a smile to her face. Mrs. Berry has gone to join the love of her life, but will be sorely missed by her family.
Family members include her children: Gregory L. Hopkins, MD (Gail Hooks), Faith Williams (Steve), Mona LaFontaine (Michael), Carrie Rose and Janice Muller (Vincent); grandchildren: Tracy Frey, Jennifer Darley, Jeffrey Hopkins, Jonathan Hopkins, Austin Hopkins, Bradley “Brad” Whitaker, Gayle Ogden, Wade LaFontaine, Jeremy LaFontaine, Ashlee LaFontaine, MD, Matthew Woods, Andrew Woods, Ina Norsworthy, Pharm D, Eileen Muller; 18 great-grandchildren; and one sister: Louella Robertson of Tracy, CA. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Hopkins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11: A.M. in the mausoleum at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Bradley Whitaker, Wade LaFontaine, Jeremy LaFontaine and Andrew Woods. Honorable pallbearer will be Matthew Woods.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 1384 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
