Augusta, GA –, Inez Marshall Bray, 100, wife of John Roy Bray, Sr. , entered into rest Friday, January 29, 2010 at Kentwood Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents, John W. & Agnes Marshall and her grandson, Larry Douglas Bray. Surviving family members include her sons, Roy Bray and wife Kathe of Troy, AL, Donald Bray and wife Stephanie of Augusta; four grandchildren: John Bray (Stephanie), Chris Bray (Kelli), Joel Bray (Terri), Marshall Bray (Shannon); seven great grandchildren: C. J. Bray, Maggie Bray, Scott Bray, Jack Bray, Andrew Bray, Tori Bray and Emily Bray.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to her caregivers, Jeanette Grissom, Alfreda Harris, Courtney Jaksch, Annie Jordan, Chenita Jordan and the staff at Elmcroft.
Mrs. Bray was born in Bartow, GA. She retired after 35 years as a telephone operator with Southern Bell Telephone Co. She was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church and the Faith Discussion Class, and was a member of the Volunteer Board of University Hospital and Telephone Pioneers of America.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mark United Methodist Church with Dr. Dane Wagner and Rev. Dan Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Wadley City Cemetery, Wadley, GA., at 3:00P.M. Pallbearers will be the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
