Evans, GA – Very sadly reporting the passing of Mrs. Ingeborg E Felts, on Monday, October 25, 2021. Mrs. Felts has been a resident of Evans, GA for the past 44 years.
Mrs. Felts was born in Mannheim, Germany the 5th of July 1927. She is survived by her husband of 65 years: Floyd Felts and a daughter: Diana L. Debartolo. She is also survived by a brother and several nieces and nephews in Germany. Mrs. Felts met her husband in Germany while he was stationed there with the army. She then migrated to the United States along with her husband. Mrs. Felts traveled the world over including several states in the United States while traveling with her husband when he was assigned to different locations. On every occasion she would devote her personal time to the service of others. She loved children and served as a Girl Scout leader on several occasions. She also served with the Red Cross where needed. She was an assistant teacher in the Columbia County school system as well. She loved banking work and worked as a teller in banks across the United States as well as an American run bank in Germany. Her exceptional personal traits as a caring person to all to whom she met was forever noted by those people to whom she met. She was a devoted Christian who practiced the learning of the Christian faith. She served as past president of the local garden club applying her skills in planting flowers in key areas in the county. She leaves behind a multitude of friends who loved her deeply.
The funeral service will be held Friday, October 29, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Dave Dillard officiating. Interment will be held in Illinois at a later date.
