Evans, GA – Mrs. Irene Leopoldine Kenny, 91, wife of the late Mr. Carroll Clyde Kenny passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 28, 2023,
Irene was born in Netschetin, in the Sudetenland Region of Czechoslovakia to Franz and Pauline Trager. She lived during World War II in Czechoslovakia and immigrated to Germany with her mother, sister, and brother. She displayed a genuine passion for children and for most of her career worked in various childcare positions on military bases throughout the world. She was often requested by new mothers that insisted Mrs. Kenny be the only one to care for their baby. After raising her four children, she helped raise her grandchildren. She was a devout Catholic and regularly attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Irene was an avid reader, loved traveling with her husband, listening to any song by Elvis Presley, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with family.
