Isabelle J. Moxley

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest at home Monday, September 18, 2017, Isabelle J. Moxley, 84, loving wife of 29 years to the late Roy L. Moxley.

Isabelle was born and raised in Millen, GA to Charlie and Edith Johnson. She met the love of her life at McKinney’s Pond in Midville and they married in 1955. Roy died in 1984 and she missed him every day. Her faith in God gave her the assurance she would meet Roy again. Isabelle taught her family unconditional love. She was a member of Warren Baptist Church and the Autry/Bivins Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son: Leonard Moxley (Teresa); daughter: Lynn Moxley Murray; four grandchildren: David Near, Melissa Rutledge (John), Michelle Williams (Paul), Laura Hingle (Neil); eight great-grandchildren: Sydney and Emily Near, Mary-Margaret and Caroline Rutledge, George and Thomas Williams, and Isabelle and Heidi Hingle.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley and Rev. Dave Dillard officiating, (Family will receive friends from 12:30 until the time of service). Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be David Near, John Rutledge, Paul Williams, Neil Hingle, Art Deas and Lamar Dixon. Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Warren Baptist Church, Autry/Bivins Sunday School Class.
