John Larry Broyles

North Augusta, SC – Mr. John Larry Broyles passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 12, 2024. 

He is survived by his loving wife: Mrs. Youla Henson Broyles; his children: Lora B. Bollinger (Don) and John E. Broyles II (Susan); grandchildren: Christopher D. Bollinger, Alden J. Broyles and Andrew K. Broyles. He was predeceased by his parents Ed Broyles and Gertrude Broyles and his first wife Sandra M. Broyles.

Larry graduated at the top of his class from Law School at The University of South Carolina. He practiced law for over 50 years. Besides law, which was his passion, he loved reading, history, traveling with his family and watching the Carolina Gamecocks. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Augusta.

Mr. Broyles’ family would like to thank his home caregivers and the nurses at Gentiva Hospice for all of their loving care.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. in Storey Chapel at First Baptist Church of Augusta with Dr. Will Dyer and Dr. Rodger Murchison officiating. Pallbearers will be John E. Broyles II, Dale O’Connor, Don Bollinger, Christopher Bollinger, Alden Broyles and Andrew Broyles. Interment will be private.
