Mr. J. D. Boozer
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Doctors Hospital, Mr. J. D. Boozer, 90, husband of the late Catherine Collins Boozer.
Mr. Boozer was a native and life long resident of the Augusta area. He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II. Later he became a flight instructor at Daniel Field and after the war he flew cargo for Delta. Later in life Mr. Boozer ran Phillips 66 gas station and parking lot until his retirement. He was a member of Lewis Memorial United Memorial Church.
Family members in addition to his late wife, Catherine C. Boozer include: daughter, Barbara B. Beall and husband Russell of Appling, GA and granddaughter, Catherine Elizabeth Inez Beall.
Graveside services will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at Westover Memorial Park with Rev. Eddie Bradford officiating.
