Jack A. Dodgen Sr.

Blythe, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, July 29, 2023, Mr. Jack A. Dodgen, Sr. 65.

Jack was a lifelong resident of Hephzibah, Georgia. He graduated from Hephzibah High School in 1976. Jack was self employed in stucco construction for many years. He was an avid UGA bulldog fan, loved to play golf and enjoyed vacationing at the beach.

Family members include his children: Jack Allen Dodgen, Jr., Ricky Fields, Nathan Fields and Sara Dodgen; sisters: Susan Dodgen Widener and Karen D. Melton (Gary) and brother: William A. Dodgen, Jr. (Patricia). He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. William A. Dodgen, Sr. and Mrs. Carolyn Holton Dodgen and his nephew Gary Jason Melton.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, August, 3, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at St. James United Methodist Church with Rev. Thurman Norville officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. James United Methodist Church, 439 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
