Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, July 07, 2013 at Georgia Regents Medical Center, Jack E. Cushman, 77, husband of 36 years to JoAnne Claxton Cushman.
Mr. Cushman was born in Augusta, GA. He proudly served for 20 years in the United States Air Force and also retired from the civil service at Fort Gordon. He faithfully attended the Augusta First Church of the Nazarene and was actively involved in ministries there. He loved the Lord and it showed through his love for people.
In addition to his wife, family members include daughter: Mary Cushman; sons: Adam Cushman, Timothy Cushman; brothers: Ronnie Cushman, Jimmy Cushman and Carl Cushman. He is preceded in death by his son: Jeffrey Cushman; brothers: Terry Cushman and Bobby Cushman; and sister: Sarah Poche.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Augusta First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor F. Joseph Lennon officiating. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will include: Edward Cushman, Allen Cushman, Brandon Cushman, Clay Cushman, John Claxton and Shawn Claxton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Augusta First Church of the Nazarene, P.O. Box 5461, Augusta, GA 30906.
