Jack G. Diver
Jack G. Diver, 89, entered into rest peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the son of the late George and Mabel Key Diver. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Langgle Diver and three sisters: Florence Quan, Mildred Gelisse and Frances Ponder. He is survived by his sister Gladys McFeeley (Evans) and three sons and daughters: Ken and Rhonda Diver (Bainbridge, GA), Keith and Sharon Diver (Martinez) and Kerry and Verna Diver (Augusta). He was blessed with five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Diver served his country in World War II in North Africa, Italy, and France.
He retired from Clearwater Finishing Plant and McDonalds restaurants. Mr. Diver was a member of the Church of the Most Holy Trinity where he served as an usher at the vigil mass. He was known affectionately as "Mr. Jack" by those who worked with him. Many were blessed to receive his beautiful roses. In later years he was known as "the cake man" by all who tasted his wonderful cakes.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 14, 2012 at 1:30 P.M. at the Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Rev. Michael Roverse celebrant. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be ushers from the Church of the Most Holy Trinity.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Holy Trinity Church at 720 Telfair Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
