Mr. Morris was born on July 15, 1938 in Augusta, GA to James and Annie Mae Morris. He graduated from the Academy of Richmond County and attended Augusta Tech. He served in the United States Army and retired from Thermal Ceramics. He was a loving husband, father, and “Papa”.
Family members in addition to his wife include his sons: Clay Morris (Donna), Joel Morris (Cayce); daughter: Pamela Sapp (Terry); 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, friends, in-laws; and siblings: James Nelson Morris (Ruby), Alice Faye Breighthaupt (Mel), Winston Churchill Morris (Pat), Eleanor Granger (Butch), Donald David Morris (Linda), and Richard Aubrey Morris (Jan).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in loving memory of Jack to his devoted family.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Hiers officiating. Burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
