Jacqueline Kinley Guilbeau, born September 5, 1944, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday March 18, 2022. Jackie was the daughter of J.O. and Louella Kinley. She was born at Camp Gordon in Augusta, Georgia, and was raised in Martinez. She graduated from Evans High School and later went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Ralph Joseph Guilbeau on January 27, 1964.
She retired from Columbia County Board of Education, having worked over 20 years as a compassionate and devoted school bus driver. Out of concern and caring for the children’s day, she wouldn’t hesitate to turn the bus around to return back to a child’s home if they forgot their lunch or homework. Jackie deeply loved and was devoted to her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family at Clarks Hill Lake, and especially vacationing in Maggie Valley, North Carolina thereby continuing the tradition started by her parents.
Family members include her husband, Ralph Joseph Guilbeau, and three sons, Mikel “Mike” Joseph Guilbeau (Lisa), Mark Anthony Guilbeau (Paula), and Patrick “Shane” Guilbeau (Jennifer). As well as grandchildren, Mitchell “Hunter” Guilbeau (Laken), Taylor Mikel Guilbeau (Lindsey), Harrison Davis Guilbeau, Landon Joseph Guilbeau, Sophia Kinley Guilbeau, and Olivia Sienna Guilbeau. Great grandchildren, Hensley Jane Guilbeau and Palmer Banks Guilbeau.
Jackie is preceded in death by her father and mother, J.O. and Louella Kinley, and her sister, Linda Flanigan.
The celebration of her life will be held on Monday March 21, 2022 at 11:00am in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Officiating the ceremony will be Pastor Larry Harmon.
