Ja'Kobey "Kobe" Sturgis

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Ja'Kobey "Kobe" Alexander Sturgis, 1, beloved son of Janija Reid and Maurice Sturgis.

Kobe was born in Augusta, GA on August 29, 2023. He was a beautiful little boy that was blessed with a loving and devoted family. They will miss his smile, laughter, and sweet personality. He loved playing with his brother Jay and his laughter brightened up every room. 

Family members, in addition to Kobe's parents, include his brother: Jonathon A. Reid (Jay); grandparents: Tammy Sturgis (Anthony Briggs), Maurice Sturgis (Michelle Mims) and Sylvia Reid; great grandmother: Gail Dusablon; a host of loving aunts and uncles and many other extended family members. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Richard Mcbride.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 2:00PM in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors with Dr. Don Prosser officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
