Jamara Dawn Huff
Martinez, GA - Entered into rest Saturday, October 15, 2022.
Family members include her father: James C. Huff and wife Carol; brother Jimmy Huff and wife Gina; Niece Mallory Huff. Jamara is preceded in death by her mother: Martha Ann Huff.
Jamara graduated from North Augusta High School in North Augusta in 1982. She attended Augusta Technical College where she achieved an associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology in 1983. She worked in the Medical Laboratory field both at University Hospital from 1985 to 1992 and then Mullins Lab from 1992-1997. From 1997 to 2014 she joined her father and brother in the family business at Augusta Janitorial Supplies as Secretary and Treasurer.
Jamara enjoyed activities of ballroom dance and shag dancing. She was active in health and fitness and enjoyed playing tennis. She was active in her community of Hidden Lakes. She attended Tres Dias in 2015 and participated in the Bridge Ministry.
James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphan and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.
Jamara lived this scripture in a very tangible way. She sponsored children through World Compassion. She demonstrated compassion and heart to care for elderly neighbors, church members and anyone that was put in her path. She received great joy from caring for and loving her Mother, her Dad, and her brother. She was caretaker for her mother during her battle with cancer.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday October 19, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Randy Byrd officiating. Interment will be at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, GA following the funeral service.
