James D. Batten

North Augusta, SC - Mr. James D. Batten entered into rest on October 4, 2023, peacefully at home.

James was born December 7, 1949, in Charleston, SC to the late Bobby Batten and Kathyrn Batten. James retired from the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Allied Workers Local No. 92 after over 25 years of service.

He is survived by his daughters; Deanna Phillips, and Denise Willis; son-in-law John Willis; grandchildren: Crystal Leppert, Bailey Phillips, and Emily Henderson; and his brother: Bobby Batten.

James loved hunting and fishing and spent many days doing what he loved at Clarks Hill Lake. He will be remembered as a witty man with a sharp mind and a contagious personality.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

No service will be held at this time.
