Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, July 3, 2016, Mr. James A. Bessman, 70, loving husband to Cynthia Bessman.

Mr. Bessman was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church until it closed and of The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a licensed Insurance Agent for the state of Georgia for 48 years.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Jamie Bessman (Lisa), Joey Bessman (Jami), Jennifer Bessman, and Bryan Roman (Megan); grandchildren: Bailie, Maddy, Brantley, and Conner; and siblings: Jackie Bessman, John Bessman (Mary Ann), Pat Lyons, Ruth DeLaGarza, Mary Vignati (Joe), and Teresa Patterson (Johnny). He is preceded in death by his parents: John Bessman, Sr. and Ruth Redd Bessman; siblings: Alice Fenn, Catherine Sluder, and Margaret Keels; and by his grandson: Jacob Bessman.

The funeral Mass will be Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 12:15 P.M. at The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 2446, Augusta, GA 30903.
