James "Carl" Carlisle Bryngelson, Jr.

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, March 28, 2025, James “Carl” Carlisle Bryngelson, Jr., 78, loving husband of 56 years to Margaret Bryngelson.

Carl was a lifelong native of Augusta, GA. He was a member of Warren Baptist Church where he also served as a deacon. He was also a former member and elder at Lakemont Presbyterian Church. He served in the United States Army in the 319th Transportation Co. during Vietnam. He was a broker and proud owner of Bryngelson Realty Co. Carl was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his children: Mark Carlisle Bryngelson, Sr. (Kim), Charlotte Bryngelson Copeland (Clay), and Beth Bryngelson Douglas (Terry); grandchildren: Mark Bryngelson, Jr., Anna Bryngelson, Madeline Copeland, Gracie Copeland, Claire Copeland, Brady Douglas, Andrew Douglas, and Jack Douglas; mother: Charlotte K. Bryngelson; and sisters: Kathy Staton, Harriet Scarborough (Terry), Sally Barnes (Gerald), and Becky Schmacker (John). He is preceded in death by his father, James C. Bryngelson, Sr.

The memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Worship Center at Warren Baptist Church with Dr. David McKinley officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12:30 P.M., at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be veterans of the Army 319th Transportation Co.
