James "Eddy" McDonald

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, March 8, 2024, Mr. James McDonald, 73, loving husband of 52 years, Beth Jones McDonald. 

Eddy was a native of Augusta, GA and graduated from Butler High School in 1968. He earned his bachelor’s at Augusta College in 1976 and his master’s at Centro de Estudios Advanzadas de Puerto Rico y el Caribe in 1997. 

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his 3 sisters-in-law, 3 brothers-in-law, 6 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews. 

The memorial service will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Elizabeth Reid officiating. The family will receive friends and family for a reception following the service at their residence.
