Mr. James Ernest Livingston, Jr.
July 2, 1921 - August 22, 2009
AUGUSTA, Ga. – Entered into rest Saturday, August 22, 2009, at his residence, Mr. James Livingston, Jr., 88, husband of Marion Akins Livingston for 63 years.
Mr. Livingston was a native and life long resident of Augusta. He was an Army veteran of WW II . He retired as a Switch Engine Foreman for Southern Railroad. He was a member of The Church of the Most Holy Trinity and the Holy Name Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mr. Livingston was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Family members in addition to his wife include his daughters: Mary Williams and husband John C. and Marion Anne Reese and husband Thomas E. of Augusta; sons: J. Lawton Livingston and wife Julie H. of Hephzibah, William E. Livingston of Augusta, and Charles “Joe” Livingston and wife Paula A. of North Augusta, SC; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
The funeral mass will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at 12:15 at Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Father Michael Lubinsky celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Phil Harris, Doug Waller, Scot Haskins and grandsons: Jonathan Williams, Danny Williams, and Wayne Reese.
