James G. “Jimmy” Paulos

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, June 30, 2013, Mr. James G. “Jimmy” Paulos, 72, husband of Mrs. Joanne Jarrett Paulos.

Mr. Paulos was a native and life long resident of Augusta, GA. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Alleluia Community. He was in the Navy Reserve and served in the Air Force for 4 years. Mr. Paulos retired from BASF. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather; he was loved in return by all his family and friends. Mr. Paulos was known for his infectious laugh.

Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Sheri Paulos Wilby (Matt), Christina Paulos Mance (Tom), Gina Paulos Moore (Rodney), Mary Paulos Williams (Justin) and Theresa Paulos all of Augusta; sons James Angelo Paulos (Jessica) and Joseph Jesse Paulos (Angelyn) both of Augusta; brothers: Charles G. Paulos and John C. Paulos both of North Augusta; sister Dianne Paulos Yost (Dr. Wayne Yost) of North Augusta; 18 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and mother-in-law: Dorothy Sizemore Zale of Augusta.

A funeral mass will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. John Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Alleluia Community Cemetery in Dearing. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.

A vigil service will be held Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
