Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Saturday, October 31, 2015, Mr. James Edward Jameson, 87, loving husband to the late Margaret P. Jameson.
Mr. Jameson was a native of Idabel, OK but has lived in Augusta for the last 50 years. He retired from the United States Army after 23 years of service and attended Pineview Baptist Church.
Family members include his sisters: Pat Qualls, June Fox, and Christina McCurtain. In addition to his wife he is preceded in death by his son, Michael L. Jameson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Michael Davenport officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Steven Branch, Nick Gladd, Daniel Mealing, Henry Mealing, Brian Rhodes, Scott Rhodes, Dylan Spivey, and Toby Spivey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pineview Baptist Church, 119 Pleasant Home Rd., Augusta, GA 30907.
