Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, February 16, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family, Mr. James Marcus Hall, III, 82, husband of Mrs. Julia M. Hall.

Mr. Hall was born and grew up in Savannah, GA., but later his family moved to Wadley, Georgia where he graduated from Wadley High School. He attended the University of Georgia. Mr. Hall served in the United States Air Force and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Hall was the founder and co-owner of Lighting Galleries, Inc. Following his retirement from the lighting and appliance business, Mr. Hall went on to own several Huddle House Restaurants in Augusta, Aiken and Fort Gordon. He was a past member of the Richmond County Jaycees, the Summerville Exchange Club, Augusta Chapter AMBUCS and the Georgia Funseekers. Mr. Hall was a member of Wadley Baptist Church.

Family members in addition to his wife include son: J. Randal Hall (Suzi); daughter: Sherry Baxley (Gene); step-daughter: Loresa Norris (David); grandchildren: Dr. Brandy Gheesling Bacon (Brian), Trey Gheesling (Tiffany), Mary Catherine Hall, Betsy Hall, Anna Claire Norris and McKinley Norris; great granddaughter: Anna Kate Prescott; sister: Ann Hall Wilson (Jerry); sister-in-law: Glenda Hall; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. and Mrs. James Marcus Hall, Jr.; sisters: Carolyn Hall Hutchins and Margaret Hall Little; brother: Donald E. Hall; granddaughter: Anna Eloise Hall; step-son: Greg Frost; and niece: Suzanne Wybro.

A funeral service will be Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Wadley Baptist Church with Rev. Gene McCoy and Rev. Tom Harrison officiating. Interment will follow in Wadley Cemetery.
