Entered into rest on Friday, November 22, 2024, James Dwain Milburn, 78, loving husband of Patricia Milburn. 

Born in Sandersville, GA, Dwain was the son of the late James and Laura Milburn. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Gibson and the Masonic Lodge #710. He worked at Sears for over 30 years and was also a HVAC Tech for many years. Dwain was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and was affectionately known as “Papa”.

Family members, in addition to his wife, include his sister: Donna Newsome and her husband Tony; children: Stephanie Best and Stacey Klingel and her husband Scott; grandchildren: Joshua Klingel (Amanda), Kari Parks (Rossen), Reese Moore (Ben), Justin Klingel (Victoria), Meghan Simmons (John), and Bailey Ryals (Dallas); great grandchildren: Leighton Lanier, Adley Simmons, Landry Simmons, Cade Moore, Khloe Parks, Jake Klingel, and Mason Klingel; and many other loving family members. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law: David Best. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association,225 N. Michigan Avenue, FL 17, Chicago, IL 60601. 

A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. in Bellevue Memorial Gardens with Rev. Jeremy Kelley officiating. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers. 

 The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 11:30 A.M. until 12:30 P.M., at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors, 214 Davis Rd., Augusta, GA 30907 (706) 364-8484.
