Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Saturday, April 15, 2023, James David Mitchell, II, age 43.

James was born in Englewood, Colorado but lived in the Augusta area for most of his life. He worked as a barber at the Cumming Barber Shop in Cumming, GA. He also worked at Sig Cox Heating and Air. James had a love of cooking and was a very good cook, and he enjoyed hunting and painting. He was an excellent tattoo artist and was an avid chess player. James will always be remembered by his family and friends as being kindhearted, personable and having a wonderful sense of humor.

Family members include his daughter: Addison Diane; mother: Beth Teeters (Chuck); father: Dennis Mitchell of Morrow, GA; brother: Matthew Mitchell; sisters: Mary Cook (Chris) and Carlee Mitchell of Newnan, GA; grandmother: Jean Teeters; nephews: Colbey Moore, Gibson Mitchell, Benjamin Cook and Bruce Wayne Henderson and many aunts, uncles and extended family members.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son Funeral Directors. Interment will be private.
