Augusta, GA – Entered peacefully into rest Tuesday, February 03, 2015, in his home, surrounded by family, Mr. James Wright Richardson, 55, husband of Dana Menger Richardson.

Mr. Richardson was a native of Augusta, but has lived in the North Augusta area for the last 23 years. He was a graduate of Westside High School. He was a former Augusta Richmond County Firefighter and EMT for Aiken County. Mr. Richardson enjoyed riding motorcycles with his close friends and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He touched multiple lives and was a father figure to many.

Family members in addition to his wife include his son: Jason W. Richardson and his wife Brandi; daughters: Krista Fields and her husband David, Lauren R. Bass and her husband Jamie, Katy Richardson; grandchildren: Dalton, Dylan, Drew, Kayden, and Maddie Kaye; and mother: Joyce Richardson. He is preceded in death by his father, James W. Richardson, Sr. and his grandson, Jakob W. Richardson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Eddie West officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jamie Bass, Caleb Durden, Jacob Springfield, Earnest Hooks, David Griffin, Danny Watson, Robert Chenoweth, Earl Hand, Tere Price, and Chad Robertson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Augusta area motorcycle bikers.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Augusta Warrior Project, 4115 Columbia Rd., Suite 5-333, Martinez, GA 30907.
