Augusta, GA – James Roy Elrod passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family.
James was born on September 19, 1921 in Copperhill, TN. He was a World War II veteran and a retired CSX Railroad employee. He was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years: Annie L. Elrod; sons: Roy W. Elrod (Lessie), David H. Elrod (Diane); daughter: Terri E. Thomas (Jack); grandchildren: Heidi Elrod Key, Tracie Kerns, D.J. Elrod, and Rachel Hattaway; and great grandchildren: Savannah Snider and Sierra Snider.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Mr. Larry Hubbard officiating. Burial will follow in Westover Memorial Park.
