Augusta, GA – Entered into rest December 22, 2013, James Wyman Young, Sr., 79, husband of 61 years to the late Gloria Thompson Young.
Mr. Young retired as an agent with Bankers Life & Casualty Company, and previously owned Wyman’s Mini Mart. He was a former Deacon of Fleming Baptist Church and a current member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mr. Young was a devoted father and husband.
Family members include daughters: Cheryl Binnicker (Billy), Rebecca Knight; sons: Pat Young (Deborah), Jimmy Young (Kathy); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Lowery officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090.
