Jan Warren “Bubba” Holley
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, February 6, 2018, Mr. Jan Warren “Bubba” Holley, 74, loving husband of 50 years to Genie Johnston Holley.
Mr. Holley was an Augusta native who grew up in the Harrisburg community and was even awarded Harrisburgan of the Year. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, his deep voice and positive presence would brighten any room. He was a man with a tremendous sense of humor and was fiercely admired by his sons and grandsons. An avid outdoorsman, Mr. Holley enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved fast cars, especially his 1978 Greenwood Corvette and frequented area drag strips in his younger years. Well known in the local hot rod community, Mr. Holley was a former president of the CSRA Road Angels. In 1982, he formed Jan Holley Advertising Productions, a business he owned and operated for over 30 years. Early in his career, he landed a few acting roles, sharing the screen with both Hugh Grant and Brian Dennehy. Bubba was responsible for thousands of television and radio commercials throughout the United States.
Family members, in addition to his wife include sons: Jan Warren “Butch” Holley and wife Lori, Jack T. Holley; grandsons: Hunter Warren Holley, Hayden T. Holley, Jackson T. Holley, Paul M. Holley; sister: Sandra H. Bostrom and husband Fred, Marilyn H. Roberts; and sister-in-law: Marilyn Holley. He was preceded in death by his parents: Jack and Polly Andrews Holley; and brother: Jack Holley.
A memorial service will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Adam Hilderbrandt officiating.
