Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, July 22, 2016, Mrs. Janet G. Morgan, 90.
Mrs. Morgan had a servant’s heart and was always taking care of others before herself. She enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. She was an excellent cook and loved being with her family. Mrs. Morgan was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and aunt. She was known as Nannie Bear by all who knew her.
Family members include her daughters: Anita Blackwell, Sharon Norris and husband Albert; grandchildren: Troy Buchanan, Michelle Blackwell, Brandi Blackburn, Ryan Blackwell, Sherri Cooper, Jerry Morgan, Stephen Morgan, Travis Morgan, Janna Peevler, and Alison Slater; she shared a special relationship with her great grandson: Brent Buchanan; and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Frank Morgan, and son, Gerald Morgan.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
