Martinez, GA – Janice Marie Brehm, beloved wife of Justin Brehm entered into rest Monday, February 19th, 2024 at the age of 79. She was the daughter of the late Carson Bryan and Ruth Bryan.
In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by her grandchildren: Jonathan Santiago, Ashley Santiago, Stephen Lewis, and Brandon Lewis, and step-daughter: Cindy Brehm; sister: Kathy Bryan (Tommy Archer); brothers: Carson Dale Bryan and Daryl Bryan (Lynn Bryan); nieces: Katie Carter, Carly Bryan, and Savannah Bryan; nephews: Billy Blitchington, Travis Blitchington, Dallas Bryan, Janice is preceded in death by her loving parents Carson and Ruth Bryan, and daughter Lisa Marie Santiago.
Janice was born on August 14th,1944. She was a graduate of Richmond Academy. Janice’s career at University Hospital began as a Certified Professional Secretary for 20-plus years before retiring in 2000. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, supporting her family throughout her life. Janice cherished her family and focused on their well-being by offering help when needed. Janice loved to travel with her husband on countrywide trips and enjoyed going to the beach spending time with loved ones. She loved to watch movie mysteries and tend to her flower garden. Janice loved running before her illness took over. One of her favorite songs was “Me and You” by Kenny Chesney. She would often talk about this song expressing love and affection, it reminded her of the love between her and Justin. Janice was a devoted Christian and would always have her bible near her. The death of her daughter Lisa in December 2019 caused her great pain, but she did her best to continue until she was able to rejoin her daughter, and loving parents. Janice will be missed and remembered fondly by those who knew and loved her. Her place will never be filled nor forgotten, and it brings comfort to know she is now at peace and pain free.
The funeral service will be Friday, February 23, 2024 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor John Raborn officiating. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park, 2601 Wheeler Road, Augusta Georgia. Pallbearers will be Travis Blitchington, Dallas Bryan, Tommy Archer, Brad Raborn, Kyle Williams and Kurt Williams.
