Martinez, GA – Mrs. Jeana Lee Bartlett, wife of Richard E. Bartlett, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her residence on June 29, 2015.
Other family members include her sons: Shane Bartlett and wife Loren, Ryan Bartlett and wife Christine; grandchildren: Reagan and Sawyer Bartlett; Nathan and Aden Bartlett; parents: Gene and Lucille French; sisters: Karen Eftink and husband Steven, Julie Cochran and husband Tommy; brothers: Nick French and wife Jackie, Joe French, John French and wife Donna, Patrick French and wife Jennifer and the late Mike French.
Mrs. Bartlett was born June 30, 1952 at Fort Leonard Wood Missouri and a native of New Madrid, Missouri but has lived in a Martinez for the last 29 years. She was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and fulfilled her life’s passion as a leader in the pre-school children’s ministry for many years.
Her life was exemplified by the presence of the Lord in all that she did and the people she came in contact with. She has always taken comfort in the fact that: “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.” (Phil 1:21) She was a loving wife, home maker, and mother.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday July 1, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet with Rev. Bill Harrell officiating. Burial will follow at Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation 1 hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
