Jeanette Jones

Evans, GA – Jeanette Anderson Jones, 93, entered into rest on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, loving wife of the late William Russell “Bill” Jones, Sr.

A native of Emmanuel county, Mrs. Jones was raised in Augusta and graduated from Tubman School for Girls. She was a long time member of St. James United Methodist Church. A loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mrs. Jones will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Family members include her children: Terry Hajduk, Russell Jones and wife Donna Faye, Carol Burton and husband Roy; grandchildren: Pat LeBlanc, Carrie LeBlanc, Matthew Jones, Andrew Jones, Kevin Burton, Christopher Burton and Kaycee Shearer; 12 great-grandchildren and many other loving family members.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by: Parents: Elton and Susie Anderson; brother: Barney Anderson; and sister: Mildred Bartholomey and her husband Pete.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025 at 3:00 PM. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Chaplain Christie McTier and Rev. Rick Nevard officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M at the funeral home before processing to the cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Jones, Andrew Jones, Kevin Burton, and Christopher Burton.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude and appreciation to the staff of SouthEast Hospice and Marshall Pines who loved and cared for Jeanette. We are eternally grateful for all they have done for her and for us and they will always hold a special place in our hearts.
