Augusta, GA – Jeanne S. Baucom, 77, went home to be with the Lord November 21, 2013, wife of Jim “Short” O. Baucom.
Mrs. Baucom was a member of Abilene Baptist Church and the Joe Easler Sunday School Class. She taught Sunday school in the youth and adult divisions for the past 50 years. She was manager at Travelers Medicare Insurance. Mrs. Baucom was a wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother, and was always ready to help others.
In addition to her husband, family members include son: Timothy D. Baucom (Beth) of Cape Girardeau, MO; daughters: Cynthia Conner (David) of Charlotte, NC, Amy Bennett (Dennis) of Martinez, GA; grandchildren: Tony Conner (Christy), Melodie Conner, Joshua Bennett, Amber Bennett; great-grandchildren: Wyatt and Caitlynn Conner; and sisters: Mary Suther, Donna Walsh.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Dr. Brad Whitt, Rev. Bill Harrell, and Rev. Terry Doss officiating. Interment will follow in Abilene Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers to include: Dennis Bennett, David Conner, Joshua Bennett, Tim Baucom, and Tony Conner. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Joe Easler Sunday School Class.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Abilene Baptist Church Building Fund, 3917 Washington Road, Martinez, GA 30907 or to University Hospital Hospice, 2100 Central Avenue, Suite D1, Augusta, GA 30904.
