Evans, Ga - Mrs. Jeanne Colley Tobin, of Evans, entered into rest on, Wednesday June 6, 2018. She was happily married to John Tobin, Jr. for 51 years until his passing in 1997.

Jeanne was a native of Barrington, Rhode Island. After serving in the Navy during WWII, she dedicated her life to her family & home. She was a member of Reid Memorial Presbyterian Church, a past member of the Augusta Sailing Club & the Ladies “M” Club of Modoc. She was preceded in death by her parents: Col & Mrs. Dwight T Colley; siblings: Gordon Colley & Marcia Melton; and her son: Dwight Tobin. She is survived by her daughter: Marion Daniel (Moye) of Evans; her son: John “Ken” Tobin of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandson: Jesse Tobin; granddaughter: Allison Hixon (Travis); great grandchildren: Andrew, Katie & Matthew Hixon and Kaylee & Laney Tobin.

A graveside service will be Friday, June 8, 2018, 11:30 A.M. at Westover Memorial Park with the Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests charitable donations be made to the University Hospital Heart & Vascular Institute, Augusta, Ga or Wesley United Methodist Church, Evans, Ga.

A gathering of friends and family will be at the home of Moye & Marion Daniel immediately following the service.
