Jeffrey G. Streck

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, Jeffrey George Streck, age 56.

Jeff was born in Bridgeport, CT to Henry and Georgia Streck. Jeff grew up with a love for everything outdoors and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. Jeff was a dedicated Police officer for the City of Bridgeport and retired as a Homicide Detective. All that knew Jeff knew he had a larger-than-life personality, a love of life and love of family and friends. Jeff never met a stranger and passed his love of life to all who knew him.

Family members include his life partner and soulmate: Heather Ogburn; brother: Mark Streck and wife Betsey; nephew: Derek Streck; nieces: Haley Streck, Christie Mello, Karri Filek, Courtney Place, and Jennifer Starnes; lifelong friend and extended family: Don O’Neill and wife Mika and their children Clara and Gerard. He is predeceased by his parents: Georgia Stefanik Streck and Henry Streck; and sister: Sharon Cervero Mello.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4:30 until 6:30 P.M. at Thomas Poteet & Son. An inurnment will be held at a separate service in Connecticut at a date to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306.
