AUGUSTA, GA. – Entered into rest Monday, October 12, 2009, Mrs. Jennie Boyett Dukes, 94, wife of the late Mars C. Dukes.
Mrs. Dukes was a native and life long resident of Augusta. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Family members include her son: David R. Dukes & wife Joanne of Augusta; daughters: Mrs. Sarah D. Ellington & husband Jerry of Milledgeville, Mrs. Marcia D. Brook of Wilmington Island, GA; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Mary S. Dukes of Martinez and son-in-law, Ollie R. Thompson of Martinez. Mrs. Dukes was predeceased by her son; Hugo Dukes, daughter; Barbara (Bobbie) Thompson, sisters: Alice Spires and Virginia Usry and brother; Vennie Boyett.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Magnolia Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Healy officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Jud C. Hickey Day Center, 1901 Central Ave. Augusta,Ga. 30904.
