Martinez, GA – Entered into rest Friday, March 20, 2015 at University Hospital, Jerry G. Crabtree, 73, husband of 54 years to Jean Crabtree.
Mr. Crabtree was a native of Clarksville, TN. He was a graduate of Austin Peay State University and a Vietnam veteran, 1st Lt., U.S. Army. He had a passion for aviation and golfing. Mr. Crabtree was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. He retired as Vice President of Operations of Augusta Sportswear.
In addition to his wife, family members include daughter: Kelly Crabtree and wife Uschi Bulger; son: Scott Crabtree and wife Adrian; grandchildren: Ben Crabtree, Tom Buckler and Sarah Buckler; and a host of other loving family members.
A memorial service will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tom Kalliokoski officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church: 1420 Monte Sano Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904; to St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church: 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown, GA 30813; or to the CSRA Humane Society: P.O. Box 14667, Augusta, GA 30919.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
