Augusta, GA – Entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, Mr. Jerrold Alan Young, 76, loving husband of 44 years to Sharon F. Young.

Jerry grew up in Long Island, NY and spent the last 50 years in Augusta, GA. He served in the United States Army and was an ordained minister. He was active in West Augusta Baptist Church and Providence Baptist Church. He loved animals and was a very sweet and generous man who enjoyed sharing his faith with those around him.

Family members in addition to his wife include his three children: Audrey Chapman Hennis (Ed), Jeremy Chapman, and Cecelia Young Wilkerson; grandchildren: Eric, Bianca, Lewis, Daniel, Michael, Jaime, Lillian, and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
