Mr. Jim Banick

Stokesdale, NC – Mr. James Henley Banick, 59, passed away on July 20, 2021, in Stokesdale, NC after a long illness with cancer. Jim was preceded in death by his loving wife Karen Burnette Banick.

Jim was born in Augusta, GA to Nancy Barrett Banick and the late Cyril Joseph Banick. He graduated from the University of Georgia and retired from the Altria Group in North Carolina after 31 years. Jim was a lifelong outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed camping and his beloved dogs.

Family members include his daughter: Mary Katherine Banick; son: Benjamin Lawson Banick; mother: Nancy Barrett Banick; sister: Martha Banick Shumacker (James); brother: Cyril Joseph Banick, Jr.; sister-in-law: Betsy Teller Burnette; brothers-in-law Jeff and Eric Burnette (Stephanie) and nieces and nephews: William Barrett Wright, Ruthie, Nan, Kathleen, Chip and Scottie Burnette.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
