Jim Caldwell

Augusta, GA – Entered into rest on Friday, May 17, 2024, Mr. James Paul Caldwell, 63, loving husband of the late Tonya Wages Caldwell.

Jim was a native and lifelong resident of Augusta. He is the son of the late Dr. Joseph and Peggy Caldwell. He was a 1979 graduate of Aquinas High School and attended Augusta College. He was a member of Woodlawn Methodist Church. Jim was funny and often kind, and never met a stranger. 

Family members include his sisters: Dr. Lee Ann Caldwell Swann (Richard) and Claire Caldwell Palmer (Marty); brothers: Joseph Lawton Caldwell III (Terri), Dr. John Price Caldwell (Alice), and Matthew Roberts Caldwell (Robin); nephews: Richard Caldwell Swann; John P. Caldwell Jr, Joseph L. Caldwell IV, Casey Palmer, Lance Palmer; nieces, Kate and Beth Caldwell, Kristin Caldwell, Megan Caldwell Spitz and Allie Caldwell; and fifteen great-nieces and nephews, including his godson, Thomas Price Swann.  He is also survived by his beloved little dog, Lillie.

A private graveside service will be held in Westover Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be brothers Joe, John, and Matt Caldwell; nephews John P. Caldwell Jr. and Joseph L. Caldwell IV; great nephew and godson, Price Swann.
