Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Friday, August 5, 2016, Mr. Jim Finrick Stone, 80, husband of 59 years to Alison Stone.
Mr. Stone retired after 20 years in the United States Army and served in the Korean War. He was incredibly selfless, generous with his time, and would give you the shirt off his back. Mr. Stone was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughters: Gail Marsh and Karen Stone; grandchildren: Jessica Marsh-Hamilton and husband Nesbit, Jack Marsh, Tony Duford, Jr. and Summer Powell, Ashley Sikes and husband Charles, and Jim Finrick Stone, II; and great grandchildren: Chase Marsh, Issak Sikes, and Cooper Hamilton.
A memorial service will be Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son. The family will receive friends following the service.
