Augusta, GA – Entered into rest January 13, 2014, Mr. Jimmie E. Cozart, Sr., 80, husband of Mrs. Shirley Cozart of Martinez.
Mr. Cozart retired after serving 20 years in the US Army. He retired from TRW after 20 years then he operated an electrical service. Mr. Cozart was a member of the Martinez Masonic Lodge #710 F & AM.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughters: Cynthia Charron (Stephen) of Warwick, RI, Mona Gracy of Augusta, Deborah Oliver of Waynesboro, GA and Paulette Sample (Brian) of Appling, GA; sons: Jimmie Cozart, Jr. of Andalusia, AL, Joseph Cozart of Martinez, Mike Oliver of Lincolnton, GA and John Oliver (Jamie) of Appling, GA; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and brother: Jack Cozart (Penny) of Evans.
A funeral service with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will be held January 15, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Tony Henderson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
