Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Sunday, October 28, 2012, Mr. Jimmie S. Siple, 93, husband of Mrs. Katherine Thames Siple.
Mr. Siple was a native of Canton, OH but lived in Augusta for the past 63 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta and served on the Board at the Augusta Chamber of Commerce. He was a mason, an avid golfer and fisherman.
Family members in addition to his wife include daughter: Hebe Siple Wren (Donald) of Waynesboro, GA; sons: Frank Thames Siple (Sherry) of Flowery Branch, GA and Charles Benjamin Siple (Jackie) of Rockledge, FL;daughter-in law: Nancy Siple of Martinez; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Jimmie Don Siple.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Dr. Jake Malone officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Augusta at P.O. Box 14489, Augusta, GA 30919.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
