Jimmy “Big Jim” Huffman
Evans, GA – Entered into rest Tuesday, January 23, 2018, Mr. James Oliver Huffman, 63, loving husband of Karleen Harbin Huffman.
A native of Augusta, Big Jim graduated from Westside High School in 1974. He worked as a Steward at Savannah River Site and was a member the Local 150 Plumber and Steamfitters Union. Big Jim was an avid sportman and enjoyed bass fishing at Lake Murray and Clarks Hill Lake. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, who was incredibly proud to show off his twin grandsons. A loyal friend, Big Jim had a magnetic personality that would light up any room. He was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include son: Clay Huffman (Andrea); daughter: Lieghton Foster (Patrick); twin grandsons: Briggs and Banks Foster; brother: Steve Huffman (Anna Lee); sisters: LeAnn Hegler, Susan Scarborough (Rusty) and many other loving family members.
The funeral service will be Friday, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Pastor Forrest Page officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
